a mirage in my waking dream,
beneath the sun, a thirsty vagrant,
devouring an offered realm
a wisp of joy of a long-felt want.
malleable as a childlike's mind,
dancing with the tune of nature's band.
Oh! how I wish this dream expands
to touch the tip of someone's hand
clinched-thought when truth sinks in,
could be untruth unraveling.
king of my world, I've refused to defend.
chaos! when he's dead they say
syllabus of teaching in disarray
my feet stood upon a miry ground
a strand of thread, I can't hold on
good and evil in coexistence?
endless woe, a judgement in rem.
