tongue tied

I was awakened
not by the noise with its horns
but by the sudden silence
amidst the shutters clattered
in the wind

the water in the pond
is not sufficient enough
to drown this sorrow

can't exactly locate the fish bone
that lodges in my throat

this lunacy naked
as the trees in the winter,
the ineptness of this
wilted tongue
