Merely Human

Merely Human
(edited)
When selfishness caved-in,
The nocturnal bird high signed
Enough of duplicity!
How could this ego betray?
The crowd of enlightened book,
Manifests the logic of its nook
With installed latch to hang on,
Selfdom is stormed with condemnation
Past the hillside a breeze swirls,
And a flower of wonder unfurls
The man-made logic will prattle,
The savants, skeptics, and lovers of all
Go! away to wilderness get lost!
Where knowledge will doubtlessly defrost
Otherworldly is a fairy's berth
Is no place for inner-child that's hurt
